Nessie and the Living Stone is a chapter book for 4 – 8 year olds.  Craig’s family, including his bratty little sister Linda, are on holiday at Loch Ness.  Craig finds a blue stone that lets him breathe under water. Thanks to the stone, Craig and Linda are able to enter Nessie’s secret cave at the bottom of the loch. But the door to her magical chamber came loose in a recent earthquake. She needs the blue stone to hold her door in place Craig will face Vikings and a treacherous mermaid before his final decision — is it worth risking his life to save the Loch Ness Monster?

The coins Craig stole from the Vikings were either blessed or cursed. They brought him back to Nessie’s lair. But what could he and Linda do to protect Nessie from the sound waves at Urquhart Castle?
 
Linda is torn between her desire to attend the concert, and certain knowledge that the sound waves from the percussion instruments would destroy Nessie’s Grotto.

But the family live under a constant threat, her mother and father were never married and although they were born in America and are citizens, their mother isn’t. Xenia must be good at school, but not too good, to win awards and get noticed.
 
In her back yard she finds a strange rock and ant nests. As a curious child she enjoys watching the ants. She doesn’t like her neighbor Mr Truck who yells at her a lot. One day her mother isn’t at home when she returns after school. She’d been taken away and locked up and is likely to be deported.  
 
Will her science project with the ants help her get her mother back?

A  heartwarming Christmas tale of WWII America. A good little boy  determines to save his baby sister from pneumonia by being bad, so Santa  will bring coal for his freezing home. But his attempts to be bad all  result comically in good results.
